Job Description

The successful Project Change Lead will lead the Change Management team in the delivery of successful product changes to meet business and customer targets. The role also involves the project management of projects and the management of critical engineering changes.

Hyperbat is a new joint venture, which combines the strengths of William Advanced Engineering and Unipart Manufacturing. Hyperbat will be opening a new facility on Unipart Powertrain Applications site later this year. The new Company and factory will begin production of batteries in 2019 for the first customer Aston Martin. We now have a number of exciting opportunities for employees to be part of the future of the automotive industry. All roles are based at UPA, Coventry. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the management engineering changes, which may involve projects, in compliance with the Business Operating System, EHS and the New Product Introduction system
  • Create and manage engineering change project plans across the UPA site (clear structure and timings) gateways, functional milestones and deliverables, managing constraints to ensure delivery to build requirements within business targets
  • Taking lead responsibility to control and achieve engineering change budgets and operational launch targets are met
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of project files and engineering change in compliance with the BOS
  • Manage and chair engineering change review forum and ensure compliance with delivery expectations

The successful candidate will have in-depth Project management or Change Management experience and will have working knowledge of industry standard tools such as FMEA, APQP, DoE, GDT, plus quality tools.
